Hookie

Oops. Sorry for not posting on Friday of last week. It's my first truancy as a blogger. The schedules here at the station are filling up quickly. The High School Football Jamboree is next Friday and after that the regular season begins. Then we're off to the college season then to the NFL. Check wnws.com for the complete schedules. It's a really busy time of year. Summer is winding down. I've already noticed the days getting shorter. Autumn is around the corner. The holidays will be here before you can turn around. Every morning on the show Steve gives a day count and days remaining till Christmas. I noticed for the first time today it's under 150 days left. There's still plenty of pool time before Labor Day though. Hey, aren't we supposed to have a Veterans Day parade this year? We talked about that last year and it seems like I remember hearing that someone decided to finally get one together. Good for them. It's about time.

"Funny Girl" is playing at the Ned downtown beginning Thursday night and running through the weekend. I've got tickets for the Thursday show and am looking forward to it. Downtown is a fun place to be when something's going on. Come on down. The Rockabilly Fest is this weekend too. You might try that. Oh yeah, and the flea market is at the fairgrounds.

This morning Bowers threatened to post sometime soon right after he outed my blogname on the air. How does he do it? We're just getting off the ground here so yes even Bowers can post if he wants. It is the daybreak blog you know.

Have a good one.
